Kimpton Enters India as IHG and Adani Airports Sign Deal for Five Hotels.

A managed hotel portfolio agreement has been signed between Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) and IHG Hotels and Resorts to build five hotels in India’s high-growth metropolitan areas that are connected to airports.

In line with the nation’s expanding aviation, tourism, and airport-led infrastructure sectors, the agreement is anticipated to contribute up to 1,500 keys across various hospitality brands and locations, complementing IHG’s expansion strategy in India.

The portfolio will include a Jaipur location of Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, which will be the luxury lifestyle brand’s first in India. Additionally, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express facilities in future mixed-use airport city developments in Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram are included in the agreement.

According to AAHL, it is also in advanced talks with IHG to broaden the partnership going forward.

Currently, AAHL runs the biggest private airport network in India and is building airport city projects on roughly 663 acres in important Indian cities.

IHG Hotels and Resorts presently runs 52 hotels in India under six different brands, and over the next three to five years, 98 more properties are anticipated to open.
