Star Air has announced 70 direct flights per week to Mundra, Gujarat.

The Sanjay Ghodawat Group’s aviation division, Star Air, has declared plans to expand from Mundra, the busy port city of Gujarat. The airline would begin operating 38 direct weekly flights and 54 weekly connections from April 25, 2026, connecting Mundra with six major cities in Western and Northern India. This historic action represents one of the biggest increases in air connectivity and economic growth the region has ever experienced, with over 17,000 extra tickets now accessible each month.

With the development, Mundra is now directly connected to Mumbai, Hindon (Delhi-NCR), Goa (Mopa), and Surat, providing unparalleled convenience and access for both business and pleasure visitors. Star Air will launch 16 weekly one-stop connections in addition to the 38 direct weekly flights, deepening connectivity with Kolhapur and Bhuj and bolstering the region’s labour force and business owners.

The airline’s expansion is expected to spur fresh growth in business, trade, and tourism throughout Gujarat and beyond, with an additional 4,104 seats available weekly and 17,000 seats monthly. The Embraer E175 fleet, which has both business and economy cabins, is comfortable for travellers departing from Mundra.

“By seamlessly connecting Mundra with leading cities across Northern and Western India, we’re energising trade, business, and opportunity while ensuring our passengers enjoy unparalleled comfort on every journey,” stated Star Air CEO Captain Simran Singh Tiwana. Setting a new benchmark for regional air travel and empowering people and industries are the goals of this expansion.

For the port’s employees, logistics specialists, business travellers, and locals alike, the new planes are anticipated to offer an essential lifeline. Travel times will be greatly shortened by quick, dependable air connectivity, which will help businesses run more smoothly, react quickly to market demands, and draw in new investment. For Kutch residents, it means improved access to jobs, healthcare, and educational opportunities nationwide.

The airline is expanding its operations to keep up with the surge in passenger demand and the growth of regional economies. After carrying almost 3 million passengers in just six years, the airline now operates 550 weekly flights. In keeping with its goal of “Connecting Real India,” the airline keeps redefining regional connectivity outside of UDAN.
