PRISM Launches “Rising OYO” Campaign to Boost Brand Awareness in Key Indian Destinations.

Twenty high-priority cities in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan will have 500 OYO hotels covered by the initiative. In high-traffic areas like Lucknow, Varanasi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jaipur, and Hyderabad, 50 properties have already started the test program.

As domestic tourism continues to increase, PRISM (the parent company of OYO) has started a national initiative called “Rising OYO” to increase OYO’s visibility in India’s most popular tourist destinations.

The campaign will cover 500 OYO hotels across 20 high-priority cities in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan, the five most visited states in 2024-25 according to a report by the Ministry of Tourism. 50 establishments in high-traffic areas, like as Lucknow, Varanasi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jaipur, and Hyderabad, have already participated in the pilot initiative, which has shown promising early results.

Hotels will use large-format, conspicuous OYO branding on their façades, rooftops, and external signs as part of the Rising OYO program, which aims to greatly increase visibility in busy urban areas, major thoroughfares, and highways. Along with a number of sacred locations like Rishikesh, Amritsar, Puri, and Ayodhya, where domestic travel is substantial, the campaign also reaches business and recreational centers like Delhi-NCR.

The restoration of OYO’s huge circular red emblem, a visual identity that was crucial in establishing the brand’s early memory across multiple states, is a key component of the campaign. By making OYO properties clearly recognised from a distance, the updated branding seeks to strengthen traveller choice, uniformity, and confidence.

“By bringing back OYO’s iconic red circular branding at scale, we are trying to strengthen on-ground visibility for our hotel partners while also trying to make it easier for travellers to instantly recognise and trust the brand,” stated Varun Jain, Chief Operating Officer-India, PRISM, in reference to the development. The goal of this campaign is to establish OYO as a brand that is ready to serve people who are making last-minute travel decisions as religious tourism, short vacations, and workations continue to grow.

According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), domestic air passenger traffic in India reached 153 million in 2025, a 12% year-over-year growth, demonstrating the country’s travel industry’s continued strong pace. Increased religious travel, better regional connection, and flexible work schedules are driving this expansion, opening up new options in both major cities and developing locations.

In light of this, PRISM’s Rising OYO campaign aims to support hotel partners with greater demand creation and exposure while increasing brand recall, walk-in discovery, and booking uplift across key regions.
