TAT New Delhi appoints Khajornrit Khwanmongkol as director.

The new director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) New Delhi Office is Khajornrit Khwanmongkol.

Khajornrit, a senior executive with more than 22 years of TAT experience, contributes a wealth of knowledge in destination management, international tourism marketing, and sustainable tourism development. He will be in charge of TAT’s activities in the Indian market in his new position, which will improve Thailand’s standing among Indian tourists and fortify bilateral tourism connections.

Over the course of his career, Khajornrit has been instrumental in converting Thailand’s domestic tourist laws into effective foreign plans. He has overseen Thailand’s presence at important international trade shows, including as Floriade in the Netherlands, Tourism EXPO Japan, and ITB Berlin. He has supported regional tourism growth strategies while working domestically as the Director of the Southern Market Division and the Deputy Director for the Northeastern Region.

His main areas of expertise are cross-sector collaborations and international marketing, promoting low-carbon tourism practices that benefit local economies while protecting the environment, and advocating for sustainable and responsible tourism under Thailand’s Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model.

As a member of the Amazing Thailand Safety & Health Administration (SHA) working committee, Khajornrit has also helped with crisis and quality management initiatives, raising industry standards to international safety norms. In order to improve Thailand’s reputation as a travel destination worldwide, he has also spearheaded high-level media and strategic communication projects, such as documentary partnerships with BBC Television.

His steadfast dedication to sustainable economic expansion and enhancing Thailand’s standing as a top travel destination in important foreign markets characterise his administration.
