InterContinental Manila is signed by IHG in the Philippines.

With the signing of InterContinental Manila, IHG Hotels & Resorts is bringing one of its renowned luxury brands back to the Philippines. The 212-key hotel, which is slated to open in 2032, will represent InterContinental’s comeback after more than 15 years and confirm IHG’s long-term dedication to the expansion of tourism in the nation. Bonifacio Global City (BGC) is where the hotel will be situated.
An all-day dining restaurant, a flagship speciality restaurant and bar, flexible meeting and event spaces with ballroom, function and meeting rooms, a fully furnished fitness club, a spa and an outdoor pool are just a few of the outstanding features the hotel will provide.
Vivek Bhalla, Managing Director, South East Asia & Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts stated, “The InterContinental brand has a storied history in Manila, having first opened in the city in 1969 and being a symbol of luxury and a hotel icon for 46 years. With solid long-term fundamentals and rising demand for upscale tourism, the reintroduction of InterContinental to Manila is a fantastic milestone and a natural fit for the city. Our dedication to growing our Luxury & Lifestyle presence throughout the Philippines and the surrounding area is reaffirmed by this signing.”
To bring InterContinental back to Manila, IHG is collaborating with Keyland Corporation, Philippine Realty and Holdings Corporation, and Greenhills Properties Inc. In addition to delivering residential and commercial buildings in major cities like Makati, Alabang, Las Piñas, and Ortigas, Keyland is developing into the hospitality industry due to the rising demand for upscale travel experiences. In contrast, Philippine Realty and Holdings Corporation is involved in property development, sales, leasing, and property management. It has created office and commercial properties in Ortigas Center as well as high-end residential condominium projects in BGC and Quezon City. Greenhills buildings Inc. owns upscale buildings in BGC and engages in real estate development, sales, and leasing.
“We are immensely proud to build on the brand’s storied legacy in Manila and to play an integral role in its return to the capital, delivering a standout hotel that honours its past while setting a new benchmark for luxury stays in the city,” stated Jose Ma Montinola, President of Keyland Corporation.
Along with a developing pipeline of two properties for the brand in the Philippines and 104 hotels in the pipeline internationally, InterContinental Manila will join a global portfolio of more than 240 InterContinental hotels and resorts. InterContinental continues to set the standard for opulent hospitality and will commemorate its 80th anniversary this year.
