The first Airbus A350-1000 delivered to Philippine Airlines
As of right now, the A350 can run on up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). By 2030, Airbus wants all of its aircraft to be 100% SAF capable.
After receiving its first A350-1000, Philippine Airlines is now the tenth carrier in the world to fly the biggest model of the long-range leader.
With its luxurious three-class configuration and 382 seats, the aircraft will usher in a new era of Philippine Airlines’ long-haul Pacific operations. With non-stop service to important North American destinations, the national carrier will be able to expand its transpacific network thanks to the A350-1000’s increased efficiency.
As part of its fleet expansion program, Philippine Airlines will receive nine A350-1000s, the first of which is this delivery. In order to increase services to the US, the new aircraft will join the airline’s current fleet of A350-900s. The airline’s widebody fleet strategy to increase long-haul capacity while improving overall traveler experience and operational reliability is further strengthened with the arrival of the A350-1000.
