Air India to Become First Airline to Operate Flights to Halwara from May 15.

In order to improve connection from Punjab’s industrial center to Delhi and other international markets, Air India has named Halwara (Ludhiana) as its newest domestic destination.

As the first airline to start operating on this route, Air India will use its A320 Family aircraft to fly two daily flights between Delhi and Halwara starting on May 15, 2026.

The timetable is intended to enable smooth same-day international connections via Delhi to locations around Europe and the United Kingdom. With a single ticket, travellers from Halwara, Ludhiana, and the surrounding areas would be able to easily connect to places like London, Birmingham, Rome, Milan, and Paris, with baggage being through-checked to their final destinations.

Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India stated, “We are pleased to serve the people and communities in Ludhiana and neighbouring towns and cities with the convenience of travelling across continents via Delhi. We are simplifying and streamlining foreign travel for more people throughout Punjab with this network expansion.”
