Lufthansa Group and Amadeus form a cooperation.

The “Order ID,” a new identification number that will eventually take the place of the prior booking and ticket numbers and unify all aspects of a trip, is the main focus. Amadeus, a travel technology provider, has partnered with the Lufthansa Group to further simplify and improve the user experience for passengers booking, modifying, and managing flights. These consist of the flight, reserved seats, luggage, and other services like lounge access or upgrades. The formerly disparate booking systems have been replaced by this convergence, which gives Lufthansa Group passengers a thorough itinerary overview. In terms of contemporary airline retailing, the Lufthansa Group is the pioneer.

Tamur Goudarzi Pour, Executive Vice President Strategy at the Lufthansa Group, says, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Amadeus to further the development and deployment of an innovative order technology and to further enhance the travel experience for our customers.” Passengers will be able to make adjustments to their reservation, revise their travel arrangements at short notice, or rebook even more swiftly and conveniently in the future thanks to the standardization especially in the event of flight anomalies or changes. Alternative options and other crucial passenger information regarding their journey will be sent to them with a single click.

In the future, passengers will be able to more quickly understand which services are included in their booking and which additional alternatives are available thanks to the new technology foundation, which also increases transparency.
