Norwegian Cruise Line announces a massive winter deployment in 50 countries for 2027–2028

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced its 2027/28 northern hemisphere winter deployment, unveiling one of its most extensive seasons to date with a focus on sun-soaked escapes, culturally immersive journeys, and the flexibility for guests to personalise their cruise experiences both onboard and ashore. The recently unveiled program demonstrates NCL’s ongoing dedication to providing a variety of itineraries and cutting-edge cruise vacations.  The cruise company has now announced an additional 320 trips, building on last month’s news of 50 sailings on Norwegian Spirit® returning to Australia and New Zealand, an immersive Asia season for Norwegian Jade®, and an extended Hawai‘i season for Pride of America®. The Bahamas, the Caribbean, Bermuda, and the Mexican Riviera will all be explored on these sailings, increasing the total number of recently announced cruises to over 370 trips in 50 countries between October 2027 and April 2028.  A significant milestone for the brand will be reached when two Prima Class ships homeport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for the first time in its history. Norwegian Prima® will run Saturday turnarounds with seven-day Southern Caribbean itineraries to places including Tortola, St. Maarten, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, and St. Thomas from November 13, 2027, until April 22, 2028. In addition to these routes, Norwegian Viva® will offer vibrant cultural experiences throughout the Southern Caribbean on Sunday departures from November 14, 2027, to January 23, 2028, with southbound itineraries that include stops in Aruba and Curaçao.  With seven ships sailing from homeports throughout the state to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Panama Canal, Florida will remain a key base for NCL’s winter operations. Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas, will be the destination of many itineraries. It will soon unveil new amenities like a pier, an enormous heated pool, and Great Tides Waterpark.  Norwegian Joy®, Norwegian Jewel®, and Norwegian LunaTM will provide a variety of shorter Bahamas cruises as well as longer Caribbean and Panama Canal excursions from Miami. Norwegian Dawn® will return to Jacksonville in November 2027 for her second season, running short Bahamas trips through April 2028. Norwegian Aqua®, Norwegian Breakaway®, and Norwegian Epic® will cruise to Port Canaveral (Orlando).  With Norwegian Pearl® offering five- to 12-day itineraries to Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Eastern and Southern Caribbean from October 2027 to April 2028, NCL will also maintain its year-round presence in Philadelphia. While the longer Southern Caribbean sailings will visit places like Barbados, St. Maarten, and Antigua, the Bermuda cruises will include overnight stays at the Royal Naval Dockyard. Norwegian Getaway® and Norwegian Escape® will offer seven-day Western Caribbean cruises from New Orleans and Galveston, Texas, respectively, on the US Gulf Coast from November 2027 to April 2028. NCL’s private destination in Belize, Harvest Caye, Roatán, and Cozumel will all be visited on these itineraries.  From the West Coast, Norwegian Encore® will provide a variety of onboard attractions for both adults and family on seven-day Mexican Riviera cruises from Los Angeles from October 2027 to April 2028, stopping in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta.  Following earlier announcements of extended and immersive itineraries aboard Norwegian Spirit® and Norwegian Jade®, which include journeys of up to 21 days, nearly 70 ports of call, multiple overnight stays, and first-time visits to destinations like Esperance, Western Australia, the expanded winter deployment further enhances NCL’s global offering.
