IndiGo has announced direct flights from Delhi to London Heathrow starting in February 2026
New direct flights between Delhi and London Heathrow Airport will begin operating on February 2, 2026, according to IndiGo. The airline would use wet/damp leased Boeing 787 aircraft from Norse Atlantic Airways to run the route five times a week. The aircraft will have a dual-class configuration with IndiGoStretch and Economy Class. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, flight 6E 0003 will leave Delhi at 09:40 and arrive in London at 14:55. On the same days, the return train, 6E 0004, will leave London at 17:15 and reach Delhi at 8:15. All times are subject to regulatory approvals and are in local time. In addition to its current daily direct flights between Mumbai and London Heathrow, IndiGo will now provide a total of 12 weekly flights to London with the addition of the Delhi–London service. Following the recent opening of flights from Delhi to Denpasar (Bali), Krabi, Hanoi, Guangzhou, and Manchester, the new route further demonstrates IndiGo’s consistent growth of international connectivity from the National Capital. Additionally, the airline has declared that direct flights to Athens will begin in January 2026. As part of its larger internationalisation goal, IndiGo has launched over 30 new international routes from different locations throughout India and added 10 new international destinations in the last 12 months. “We are happy to introduce direct flights between Delhi and London, offering more travel options between India and the United Kingdom,” stated Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer of IndiGo, in response to the news. This comes after our direct flights from Mumbai to London and Delhi and Mumbai to Manchester were recently introduced. It is anticipated that the new service will help meet the rising demand for travel between the two cities for business, pleasure, and family visits. IndiGo is still dedicated to improving connections between India and important foreign locations and making overseas travel easier and more accessible.
