IHG to Rebrand Eros Hotel New Delhi as InterContinental Eros Nehru Place.

A major addition to its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in India, IHG Hotels and Resorts has announced that it has signed a management agreement with Eros Group to open InterContinental Eros New Delhi Nehru Place.

After a thorough makeover, the hotel is anticipated to open in 2029 under the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand. The agreement is in line with IHG’s plan to increase its market share in important Indian cities.

The resort, which will have 216 rooms and suites, many dining options, and comprehensive meeting and event facilities, including a ballroom, meeting rooms, and outdoor areas, is situated in South Delhi’s Nehru Place, a significant business district. A swimming pool, fitness club, and spa will be among the recreational features.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels Resorts stated, “We are delighted to once again partner with Eros Group (Nehru Place Hotels Private Limited) to bring our global luxury brand, InterContinental, to the national capital. South Delhi is the perfect place for a hotel of this kind because of its mix of corporate headquarters, embassies, and landmark attractions. We hope to build a location that meets both business and leisure demands while providing our discriminating visitors with a luxurious hospitality experience, further solidifying our current partnership with Eros Group.”

We will be in a position to provide top-notch hospitality and bolster our presence in one of India’s most important economic centers with the InterContinental Eros New Delhi Nehru Place,” he continued.

The InterContinental Eros New Delhi Nehru Place, which combines modern luxury, engaging local touches, and intuitive hospitality, offers guests the brand’s signature worldly elegance, individualised service, and cultural connection. The hotel’s strategic location and carefully chosen amenities will bolster IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle presence in India and provide visitors with a unique stay that blends the rich culture and vibrancy of the capital city with the InterContinental brand’s heritage of global hospitality.

The facility was first opened in 1996 and operated under the InterContinental brand before becoming the Eros Hotel New Delhi on its own. It has returned to the IHG system with the rebranding.

With a pipeline of 89 properties, IHG presently runs 51 hotels under six different brands in India with plans to greatly increase its market share in the years to come.
