The Uttarakhand government will soon begin the “Snow Leopard Tour.”

According to State Tourism Secretary Dhiraj Garbyal, the government will shortly introduce a “Snow Leopard Tour” to provide winter travel in Uttarakhand a fresh direction.

In an effort to boost winter tourism in the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presided over a conference of district magistrates and senior state government officials late on Saturday night.

According to Garbyal, the tour will allow tourists to access high Himalayan areas like Gangotri in a controlled way throughout the winter. “Snow leopard tourism” will be tested in Uttarkashi’s Gangotri National Park.

The tourism secretary stated that the tour, which was carried out at the chief minister’s direction, intends to strengthen the economy of the border regions by promoting winter tourism and encouraging homestays, local guides, adventure tourism, and other activities.

According to him, a thorough action plan is being put into place for the state’s winter tourism, which includes the Char Dham Yatra, adventure travel, cultural events, and wildlife travel.

According to Garbyal, the action plan calls for the holding of adventure sports including paragliding, trekking, skiing, and rappelling in a number of locations, including Auli, Khalia Top, and Bednidhar.

There will be an International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh, as well as winter carnivals in Mussoorie, Nainital, and Uttarkashi. According to him, the Jim Corbett, Nandaur, and Gangotri regions will host the wildlife tourism events.

The government’s goal, according to the tourism secretary, is to make Uttarakhand a year-round travel destination.

In order to increase winter travel in the state, the chief minister ordered the Himalayan Car Rally, helicopter skiing, and snow leopard sighting to immediately resume during the meeting.

He gave officials instructions to engage with hoteliers about this matter and make sure that all facilities and arrangements for the Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam and Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam are in place by December 20th.

Additionally, the chief minister ordered a conference with all relevant parties to be conducted in Delhi.

He stated that he would personally drive by road to check the arrangements and gave all District Magistrates instructions to guarantee the repair of hotels, highways, and other infrastructure associated with popular tourist attractions.

In order to give each district a distinct character, Dhami oversaw the planning of a large festival in each of the state’s districts, in which residents and public officials participated as part of the “One District-One Festival” campaign.

Additionally, he requested that state officials host an international event.

The chief minister also ordered that grand aartis be held at various confluences and ghats throughout the state, including Devprayag, and that the development of the Saryu Corridor and the Saryu origin point in Bageshwar, as well as the beautification of the Rahu Temple in Paithani, Pauri, and the Lakhamandal Temple, be carried out swiftly and efficiently.
