Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit opens in Thailand.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit, its first hotel in Thailand, in partnership with Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC). Located in Bangkok’s vibrant Sukhumvit district, the new luxury property features 416 rooms and 58 suites, alongside extensive dining, wellness, social and event facilities.
The opening marks another step in Fairmont’s expansion across Asia, following Fairmont Hanoi and the anticipated Fairmont Tokyo. Fairmont Hotels & Resorts CEO Omer Acar said Thailand’s renowned hospitality, rich cultural heritage and strong sense of connection make it a natural home for the brand. He described the hotel as a social hub where local residents and international travellers can meet, celebrate and experience the energy of Bangkok.
Designed by PIA Interior, Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit takes inspiration from Thailand’s botanical heritage. Floral motifs feature throughout the guestrooms and public spaces, while the lobby is highlighted by a dramatic chandelier inspired by the golden ratchaphruek, Thailand’s national flower. The installation features more than 35,000 crystal balls and 4,166 glass pieces.
The hotel is set to offer seven dining and entertainment concepts through 2026. Harper’s combines North American and French brasserie influences, while AELA Social Bar transforms from a daytime lounge into an evening cocktail destination. CAYA Pool Club takes inspiration from Bangkok’s night markets, offering modern Thai street food and beverages. Scheduled for mid-September, Wiggle Room will feature live music, cabaret-inspired performances, cocktails and dining in a dedicated supper-club setting. Two additional restaurants are planned for December, combining Italian and Japanese influences in one concept and contemporary Thai cuisine in another.
Wellness is also central to the hotel experience. Fairmont Spa draws inspiration from Thai jasmine, a symbol of hospitality and purity, while Fairmont Studio offers yoga, cardio and strength-training spaces. The Fairmont Fit programme allows guests to continue their exercise and wellness routines during their stay.
For meetings and events, the property provides more than 21,500 sq. ft. of flexible space across three floors. The Signature Grand Ballroom features a 12-metre ceiling and dedicated entrance forecourt, supported by a second ballroom, seven breakout rooms, Couture Hall and additional meeting facilities. The hotel also offers a Kids Club and welcomes pets weighing up to 30 kg.
Fairmont Gold provides a “hotel within a hotel” experience, with a dedicated lobby, private lounge, personalised food and beverage offerings and concierge services.
Sustainability is integrated throughout the property. LEED Gold-certified Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit incorporates biophilic design, water recycling, smart energy technologies, improved indoor air quality, EV charging infrastructure and a heat-reducing façade. The hotel strengthens Fairmont’s Asian portfolio while supporting AWC’s vision of creating long-term value through sustainable tourism and hospitality development.
